1And the word of the LORD came to me, saying.2Son of Adam, set your faces toward Gog, of the land of Magog, the chieftain head of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him.3And you shall say, Thus says the Lord GOD, Behold, I am against you, Gog, chieftain head of Meshech and Tubal.4And I will restore you, and I will give hooks in your jaws, and I will bring you out—you and all your army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed in full dress, a great assembly with buckler and shield, grasping swords, all of them.5Persia, Cush, and Put—they all of them are shield and helmet.6Gomer and all its wings, the house of Togarmah, the recesses of the north, and with all its wings, many peoples with you.7Prepare yourself and ready yourself—you and all your assembly, those gathered about you—and you will be a guard for them.8From many days you will be visited; in the end of the years you will come to a land restored from sword, gathered from many peoples, upon the mountains of Israel which were continual waste. And she from peoples was brought out, and they dwelt all of them securely.9And you will ascend like a storm, you will come like a cloud to cover the earth; you will be—you and all your wings and many peoples with you.10Thus says the Lord GOD: And it will be on that day, thoughts will ascend upon your heart, and you will form an evil plan.11And you will say, "I will go up against a land of unwalled villages; I will come against those who are at rest, who dwell securely, all of them dwelling without wall or bar or gates.12to take spoil and spoil, and to plunder plunder, to turn your hand against settled places, against a people gathered from the nations, having livestock and property, dwelling at the navel of the earth.13Sheba and Dedan and the traders of Tarshish and all its villages will say to you, "Have you come to take spoil? To plunder plunder? To assemble your assembly to carry off silver and gold, to take livestock and property, to plunder a great spoil?"14Therefore, prophesy, son of man, and say to Gog, Thus says the Lord GOD: On that day, when my people Israel dwells securely, will you not know it?15And you will come from your place out of the far north, you and many peoples with you, all of them mounted on horses, a great horde, a mighty army.16And you will go up over my people Israel like a cloud to cover the earth. In the latter days it will be, and you will bring them against my land in order that the nations may know me when I am sanctified in you before their eyes, O Gog.17Thus says the Lord GOD: Are you he, the one of whom I spoke in days of old by the hand of my servants the prophets of Israel, who prophesied in those days for years to bring you upon them?18And it will come about on that day, when Gog comes against the land of Israel, says the Lord GOD, that my wrath will rise up in my nostrils.19And in my jealousy, in the fire of my outburst, I have spoken: Surely in that day there will be a great earthquake in the land of Israel.20And they will quake before the fish of the sea and the birds of the heavens and the life of the field and every swarmer swarming on the land and every humanity that is on the face of the land, and the mountains will be demolished and the steps will fall and every wall to the earth will fall.21And I will call the sword upon all the mountains, says the Lord GOD. Sword against man—it will be against his brother.22And I will judge him with sword and blood and flooding rain and hailstones, fire and brimstone. I will rain them on him and on his hordes and on many peoples who are with him.23I will magnify myself and sanctify myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. And they will know that I am the LORD.

Chapter 39
1And you, son of man, prophesy against Gog and say, Thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I am against you, Gog, chieftain head of Meshech and Tubal.2And I will bring you back, and I will lead you on, and I will bring you up from the remotest parts of the north, and I will bring you upon the mountains of Israel.3And I will strike down your bow from your left hand and your arrows from your right hand.4You will fall on the mountains of Israel, you and all your troops and the peoples who are with you. I will give you as food to every kind of bird and wild animal.5On the face of the field you shall fall, for I have spoken, says the Lord GOD.6And I will send fire on Magog and on those who live in safety on the coastlands, and they will know that I am the LORD.7And I will make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel, and I will no longer let them profane my holy name. The nations will know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.8Behold, it has come and it has happened, says the Lord GOD. It is the day of which I spoke.9The inhabitants of the cities of Israel went out and burned the weapons for fuel: shields and bucklers, bows and arrows, hand staffs and spears. And they burned them with fire for seven years.10And they will not carry wood from the field, nor chop from the forests, for they will burn the weapons as fuel. They will take spoil from their spoil and plunder their plunder—the utterance of the Lord GOD.11And it will be on that day: I will give Gog a place of a name—a burial place in Israel, the Valley of the Transgressors east of the Sea. And it will block the travelers, the Transgressors, and they will bury Gog and all his multitude there. And they will call it the Valley of Hamon Gog.12The House of Israel shall bury them in order to ritually purify the earth in seven months.13And they will bury them—all the people of the land—and it will be to them for a name, the day of glory, says the Lord GOD.14Men will continually separate the passersby in the land from the burial sites of the passersby, the ones left on the face of the land, for ritual purity. At the end of seven months they will search.15And the passers-by will pass through the earth and see a human bone and build a sign beside it until the buriers take it to the Valley of Hamon Gog.16And there also—a city of Hamonah. And they will purify the land.17And you, son of Adam, thus says the Lord GOD: Say to every bird of every wing and to every beast of the field, "Gather and come; gather around my sacrifice, which I am sacrificing for you—a great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel—and eat flesh and drink blood."18Flesh of mighty men you shall eat, and blood of princes of the earth you shall drink—rams, rams of the flock, and prepared ones, bulls, stall-fed ones from Bashan, all of them.19And you shall eat fatness to the full for seven months, and you shall drink blood to drunkenness from my sacrifices, which I am sacrificing for you.20And you shall be satisfied at my table with horse and chariot, mighty one, and every man of war, says the Lord GOD.21I will give my glory among the nations, and all the nations will see my judgments that I have done and my hand that I have set in them.22The house of Israel will know that I am the LORD their God from that day onward.23And the nations will know that the house of Israel went into exile on account of their iniquity, because they transgressed against me, and I hid my face from them and gave them into the hand of their foes, and they fell by the sword, all of them.24According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions, I dealt with them and hid my face from them.25Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Now I will restore the captivity of Jacob, and I will have compassion on the whole house of Israel, and I will be zealous for my holy name.26And they will forget their disgrace and all their trespasses that they trespassed against me, when they return to their ground securely and there is no terrifying.27When I return them from the peoples and gather them from the lands of their enemies and consecrate myself in them before the eyes of many nations.28And they will know that I am the LORD their God when I exile them to the nations and gather them to their land, and I will not leave any more of them there.29And I will not hide my face from them any longer, upon whom I have poured out my Spirit on the house of Israel, utterance of the Lord GOD.
